Pain Management

Incorporating pain relieving modalities such as cupping, dry needling, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise we build a program to eliminate your pain and focus on increasing mobility and stability. We not only provide you with effective pain relieving techniques, but we will walk you through the process of pain. What pain is, how pain is experienced, and factors that impact pain. Pain is a complex phenomenon and we believe that the more you know and understand the better you can control your pain without it controlling you!

Surgical Recovery

From major surgery such as a joint replacement or rotator cuff repair to less invasive procedures of meniscus injuries and hernia repair, we specialize in getting you back to full strength and back to the activities you love. All programs are specifically designed for post surgical recovery of your specific surgery and recovery goals.

Cupping

Cupping therapy may seem new, but is actually an ancient medicine utilized for pain management and is effective in relieving tight muscles and trigger points. The main focus of cupping is to increase blood flow to a specific area of pain for analgesic effects as well as nutrient delivery which can aid with healing and recovery.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is similar to acupuncture as we use the same needle, but is used in a different manner. We find motor trigger points or tight muscle bands that are causing decreased blood flow and impaired motor patterns and insert the needle directly into the muscle. This can often cause a “twitch response” which is exactly what we are trying to accomplish! This helps restore blood flow, break up scar tissue, reset neural loops, and improve muscle firing. In short, it helps muscle performance and decreases pain!

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or IASTM is a technique in which a variety of tools to mobilize and break up scar tissue within and around muscles. By utilizing these specially made tools we are able to achieve a deeper, more therapeutic effect on hard to reach muscles, and thereby increase recovery and nutrient stimulating effects.

Functional Golf Training

Revival PT and Wellness providers are trained and certified with a Functional Golf Certification from the Gray Institute, giving us extensive knowledge of the golf swing and the proper range of motion and strength required to optimize your golf swing. When working with golfers, we believe that your exercise program should look like golf, smell like golf, and feel like golf. We put you through an individualized program with specific exercises to help you feel better, move better, and play better golf. If you’re looking to take your golf game to the next level we would love to help you out!
