Dynamic Karate/Kids Karate

This class is rooted in the fundamentals of traditional Song Moo Kwan, also called Korean Karate. Dynamic Karate is a traditional style with a focus on self-improvement and self-defense. Training the body encourages speed, flexibility, stability, power, and control. Training the mind builds focus, patience, confidence, and compassion.

The Adults class is aimed at participants 13 and above. The Kids classes have a curriculum more appropriate for ages 8-13, however all ages are welcome and we encourage parents and kids to train together!

“The family that kicks together, sticks together.”

Qigong

Qigong is a time-honored tradition of movement, breathing, and mediation that has been shown to reduce stress, relieve aches and pains, and promote overall well-being.

Qigong translates to cultivating Qi- the vital energy of the body that helps us feel healthy and strong.  During these classes, we will be practicing building this energy with a combination of movement, breathing, and meditation.  As we move our bodies, we move Qi through the limbs and let it flow smoothly.  As we breathe, we build up that essential vitality and invigorate our muscles and organs.  As we meditate, we calm our minds and create a sense of peace.

Together, these techniques help to promote a vibrant and healthy body and mind, allowing us to engage more fully in the activities of our life. Please join me as we explore the Way of Cultivating Qi.
