Slow Flow Yoga - for Strength & Flexibility

This practice slows things down a bit to provide greater instruction on alignment and allows for a more individualized experience. DeAnn will guide you through a series of postures designed to increase your flexibility and build strength. You will feel energized, centered, and empowered as you open your mind and body up to new possibilities.

Options will be provided to accommodate students of every level, so no matter where you are at in your yoga journey, from beginner to advanced, you'll find the appropriate challenge for you.

BarreBurn

Barre — a stationary handrail that is used during ballet warm up exercises; also refers to the exercises performed at the barre.

Barre class is a total body workout that has made its way to the Midwest from the East Coast.

Lotte Berk, a dancer from Germany, developed Barre in the 1950s, and based the exercises on her experience with dancing. The method was brought to Manhattan in 1971 by a student of Berk's. Since 2005, instructors of the Lotte Berk Method developed their own versions of Barre classes and the popularity continues to grow.

The unique blend of ballet, Pilates, and yoga poses provide a low-impact, high-intensity workout. Ballet-infused movements sculpt a dancer's physique and strengthen by keeping your muscles engaged throughout the entire class. Develop evenly, sculpted, tone, sleek muscles and increased balance and flexibility at the barre.

Core Yoga

A Vinyasa-style yoga focusing on building core strength, improving overall flexibility, and developing a state of well-being. All levels are welcome. Please bring a mat. Extras will be provided if needed.

Zumba!

Do a workout without dreading it! There is nothing like a Zumba party to change your day and burn some calories without a hint of 'workout dread'!

Zumba is a great way to: exercise, lose weight, reduce stress, feel happy, socialize, learn something new, and of course HAVE FUN! Let's ditch the workout and join the PARTY!

Power Yoga

Interested in improving your strength, balance, and flexibility? Come to Power Yoga! Power Yoga is a fast paced Vinyasa flow class that will get our heart rates up, challenge our muscles, and focus our minds. Both modification and extension options will be given so as to accommodate all levels. No experience necessary! Hand weights optional, and can be used to up the intensity. You will leave feeling great both mentally and physically!

If possible, please bring your own yoga mat.

Defense Academy Class

The main focus of Defense Academy is to teach you what you need to know to survive an attack. Even though the training deals with real-life scenarios, we keep the training fun and safe within this 1-hour class. You will learn all aspects of self-defense while also looking at your normal day-to-day movements that will help keep both your mind and body in check.

Drop-ins are welcomed for this class!

STRESS-BUSTING YOGA - HOLIDAY SERIES!

This yoga class is for EVERYBODY. No matter your flexibility, no matter your size, no matter your age, no matter your fitness level or if you are recovering from illness or injury, everyone can benefit from reducing stress. We all accumulate daily tension and anxiety in our bodies, and the holiday season is especially stressful. When left unchecked, stress can leave us in knots and feeling miserable. Chronic stress can even lead to disease and depression. This class is designed to help you safely and gently stretch, strengthen and align your body to help you create a feeling of well-being. Mindful breathing techniques and guided visualization round out the class so that you'll leave feeling relaxed, centered and ready to take on the challenges of the day! End your busy week and start off your weekend on the right track! Makes a great pre or post-workout routine too!

This will be a six-week series. No pre-registration required. Drop-ins welcome. Props and modifications will be available to make this accessible for almost anyone.

Please bring a yoga mat if possible. We will have a few extra though.

DeAnn is an RYT200 hour teacher registered with Yoga Alliance and certified in Yoga for Cancer Care and is herself a cancer survivor.

Anyone currently dealing with cancer is very welcome in this class and appropriate modifications and adjustments will be offered.
